Luke was really taken by the minimal environmental footprint of an electric car conversion, and pretty happy about the price too. And as he points out, converting your classic car into a retro-electric vehicle gives it a whole new lease of life. The motor is good for another 50 years, the batteries for 200,000 miles and in 20 years time, when you have driven that far, because it’s a R-EV, you can simply swap out the battery pack for the latest technology – and who knows what that will be…
